Frequently Asked Questions
These are some of my frequently asked questions, if you don't see a question you have in mind, please do not hestiate to reach out.
What is the difference between residential and commercial aluminum modular ramps?
Residential ramps are 36” wide and have two-line handrails. Commercial ramps are 48” wide and have handrails with vertical pickets. Commercial ramps must be used in public buildings.
How do I determine the length of ramp that is needed?
Measure the distance from the top step/landing to the ground (RISE). ADA recommendation is to have a 1:12 slope. This is a foot of ramp for every inch of rise. For example, if you need a ramp to the porch and it is 24” from the ground, you will need a ramp approximately 24’.
What types of wheelchair ramps do you offer and how do I choose the right ramp?
We provide a variety of ramps, including threshold ramps, portable ramps, and aluminum modular ramps. We offer residential and commercial ramp solutions. Our experts can help you determine the best ramp based on the height of the steps, the mobility device you use, and your personal preferences.
Are wheelchair ramps portable?
Some of our ramps are designed to be portable and can be easily moved or adjusted as needed.
Do I need a permit?
It depends on your city or county. We’ll guide you through any local requirements so you’re fully covered.
How fast can you install?
Most ramps can be installed in a single day.
Will it look industrial?
Not at all. Modern aluminum ramps are clean, low-profile, and blend with residential and commercial settings.
Aren’t aluminum ramps more expensive?
They cost more upfront, but save you money in the long run. No sealing, staining, or rebuilding every 5–10 years. Aluminum ramps often last 20+ years with zero maintenance.
